Today, May 4th, 2022 marks the sixth consecutive year, a day has been set aside by NATE and the industry in order to pay tribute to the important work that communications infrastructure technicians conduct daily to enable a connected world.
When recognizing the Tower Systems team, company CEO, Kari L Carlson stated, “I’m very proud of their persevering spirit to get things done, often times under unique circumstances. Few people can do the work that they do! Today is a day for them to stand tall with shoulder’s back and accept the gratitude that is shining on them”.

It’s quite fitting that May 4th also celebrates Bill Carlson Day, as proclaimed by the city of Watertown, SD on this date in 2021. Not only was Bill Carlson the founder of Tower Systems, he was also the founding father of NATE. His trailblazing spirit paved a path for many of those that followed and made the industry a much safer one through his lifetime of contributions to NATE. How special that this day is a day to celebrate both.
