NATE’s founder, William (Bill) F. Carlson, was a man of generosity, kindness and integrity. Bill’s quiet strength was well known and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a tremendous family man, business man, mentor and friend, who genuinely cared for people and their safety. Bill's devotion to his company and employees, and advocacy for his profession transformed an entire industry and left a lasting legacy. It was Bill's leadership and vision that ultimately founded NATE and established the bond with the Association's member companies and leadership that remain a part of the organization's culture today.
